Frequently asked questions
It multiplies your expected yield per acre by your land area (and a weather factor) to get total yield, multiplies that by your selling rate for gross income, then subtracts your total cost of cultivation to show net profit.
Crop rates are indicative 2024-25 MSP / typical mandi levels, yields are typical per-acre figures, and costs are indicative cost-of-cultivation templates. They are starting points; adjust every field to match your own farm.
It scales your expected yield: Poor reduces it (×0.8), Average keeps it as-is (×1.0), and Good increases it (×1.15) to reflect a favourable season.
It is the selling price per quintal at which your income exactly covers your total cost: no profit, no loss. Selling above it earns a profit; below it makes a loss.
