What is Kisan Credit Card (KCC)?
The Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme provides farmers with a flexible, revolving line of short-term credit for crop production and allied needs.
With interest subvention and prompt-repayment incentives, the effective interest rate on crop loans up to ₹3 lakh can be as low as around 4% per year for farmers who repay on time (as per prevailing guidelines).
Eligibility
- Owner-cultivators, tenant farmers, oral lessees and sharecroppers
- Self-help groups (SHGs) and joint liability groups (JLGs)
- Farmers in allied activities such as dairy, fisheries and animal husbandry

Application process
Step 1. Apply
Apply at a bank branch or through the KCC application route; FPOs can help members apply.
Step 2. Assessment
The bank assesses your limit using the district Scale of Finance and your land/crop details.
Step 3. Use & repay
Draw credit as needed and repay aligned to your harvest to keep interest low.
